The Changing Room is located within the Old Arcade, Stirling, a site originally used as a theatre / performance area, and most recently as a shopping arcade. Both functions are suggestive of notions of role-play, identity and the adoption of a new or altered image, however temporary. It is these themes that I intend to explore.

“My Favourite Shirt” presents articles of clothing as a series of archetypes, portraits of their customery identity which, when taken out of context, adoprt a more ambivalent meaning - in this case alluding to notions of family, gender and identity.

The garments are anonymous and their presentation is suggestive of shop window displays.

The photographs provide snapshots, reiterating the iconography of clothing.
