A Project by Hanging Together for a shopfront in the Thistle Marches

Six artists each work on the shopfront to present a display of six artworks which complement each other. Using the medium of the ziplock bag (transparent enclosure bags), they have created a variety of artworks.

The artworks are loosely themed on the shopping centre situation and are designed to make the passing shopper stop and look.

Carol Mason: Evidence of Existence

Peter Russell: Beyond Reason There Is Desire

Sex sells. Using the language of advertising without the commercial purpose, this work questions the fetishing relationship between sex and shopping.

Paul Eames: My Very Own Collection Of Ordinary Things: Teeth

12 small ziplock bags form a dedicated space for an ongoing exhibition programme of small works.

Emma Scott-Smith: Bags - Diary of a Shopper

Val Shatwell: Alchemy

A patchwork made from throwaway items and material, transformed into desirable objects.

Karen Strang: Selling Old Rope and Other Things...

A project by Hanging Together.
